People who value their pets more than people
 

When the Doomsday approaches people will have puppies. They will hold caring for these puppies much more dear than caring for their own children. (al-Tabarani, al-Hakim)

 

Having love for animals, admiring the beauties God grants them and having compassion for them is surely a favorable characteristic. However, the event related by our Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) in the hadith above is the replacement of love for people with love for animals. This is surely a warped viewpoint.
