It is said in the hadiths that another sign is the destruction
of social relations between people:
When one salutes
nobody but only the ones he knows… (Ahmad Diya'al-Din
al-Kamushkhanawi, Ramuz al-Ahadith, 121/4)
The Hour does not
come until hearts become strangers, words become apart,
brothers adhere to other religions. (ad- Daylami,

The Hour does not
come until salute is given to special people rather
than ordinary people. (Mukhtasar Tazkirah Qurtubi,
p. 470)
Cutting bonds with
relatives and deteriorating relations with neighbours
are among the signs of the Day of Judgment. (Ahmad,
Musnad, 11/90, no: 6872)
