The Rejection of the True Religion and
the Moral Values of the Qur'an
A time will come
when the Qur’an will remain only with its picture,
and Islam will remain with its name. Despite being
the people who are most distant to Islam, they will
be named with Islamic names, though prosperous in
appearance, their mosques will be in ruins in the
sense of guidance. (al-Hakim, ad Daylami)
A time comes when
the Qur’an remain in one valley and people in another.
(al-Hakim, Tirmidhi, Hadiths)
A time comes when
people’s faces are the faces of human beings, their
hearts are the heart of evil. They are blood shedders
and do not avoid offensive acts. If you adhere them,
they protect you. If you trust them, they act treacherously.
Their children are immoral and teenagers are unabashed.
Their elderly, on the other hand, do not enjoin the
good and forbid evil. (al-Hatib,The History of Future,
1, p.23)
A time comes when
people will adopt the views of those who try to impose
things unrelated to the religion as if they were of
the religion and thus unawarely associate partners
with God, when people will study to earn a living
and make their religion a tool for mundane interests.
(Hadiths Related to The End times, p.68)
The hadiths that deal with the signs of the Last Day provide
us with a detailed description of the period in which these
signs will appear. We can understand from the above hadiths
of the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) that
the first stage of the End Times is a period that the religious
morality seems to be applied, but one that almost completely
rejects the moral values of the Qur'an, which God commands.
It is a period in which that which has been clearly indicated
in the verses of the Qur'an are overlooked, non-Islamic
judgments are given by using the name of God, religion falls
into discord, worship is performed for show, and religion
is used as a means for profit and gain. It is a characteristic
of this time that faith depends on imitation. In this time,
so-called Muslims are in the majority, while real scholars
and sincere Muslims are in the minority.
In the Qur'an, God states that on the Last Day the Prophet
(may God bless him and grant him peace) will say, "My
Lord, my people treat this Qur'an as something to be ignored…"
(Qur’an, 25:30) It is also revealed in the hadiths that,
during the End Times, the Qur'an's guidance will be disregarded
and people will stray from it.
