Violent Rain

Doomsday will not come until a violent rain leaves no houses or buildings. (Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah li-ashrat al-sa'ah, p. 253)

An increase in rain and a reduction in grass... is because doomsday is near. (Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah li-ashrat al-sa'ah, p.137)

“The Hour does not come until all mud-brick buildings except for the stone ones collapse.”
(Ahmad, Musnad 13/291, no. 7554)

Heavy rains and floods following them are among the great natural disasters that cause great casualties. Especially in recent years, torrential rains followed by floods in many parts of the world have caused serious material damage and killed a many people. The floods that affected Europe in recent years are an example. Heavy downpour that hit almost the entire Europe caused floods, submerging big European cities.

The seasonal monsoon rains that stroke India, Nepal and Bangladesh in the year 2002 left behind 900 dead. In China, on the other hand, land slips caused by heavy summer rains killed 1000 people on August 2002. 1
