Stagnation in the markets, a reduction in earnings… (Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah li-ashrat al-sa'ah, p. 148)

Business being slack. Everyone will complain, “I cannot sell, buy or earn money.” (Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah li-ashrat al-sa'ah, p. 152)

Economic distress is one of the most important problems of many countries today. People fail to earn their living, and in some cases, they even can not find any buyer to sell their goods. In some countries where the governments have to fight against poverty and inequality of distribution of income, this situation shakes the social order and becomes a major source of chaos. Conflicts in Argentina arising from economic collapse is one of the examples of this situation.
