Taking other gods as Deities other than God

The Hour does not come unless people take al-Lat and al-'Uzza as Deities and worship them again… (Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah li-ashrat al-sa'ah, p. 281)

Many tribes from my people will adhere to associators and revert back to disbelief before the Hour… (Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah li-ashrat al-sa'ah, p. 287)

The Hour does not come until some of our people turn back to idols and worship them. (Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rasul Barzanji, Al-Isha'ah li-ashrat al-sa'ah, p. 241)

Ascribing associates to God, or deeming someone or something, called idols, worthy of worship beside God is no doubt a great perverseness and sin. When worshipping idols is in question, some people think it is worshipping statues carved out of stone and wood, as people of the past did. Yet, this is a great delusion. A person who ascribes associates to God is not only someone who worships man-made idols. Having faith in God without ascribing associates to Him, as is described in the Qur’an, is dedicating ones religion to God alone. In other words, believing with the hope of God’s good pleasure and mercy alone. In the End Times, the number of people who will have true faith without ascribing associates to God will diminish and the number of people who will embrace superstitious beliefs will increase.
